You ask for a call about your file. The request is passed to a mortgage broker. The conversation can be in Spanish, French or English.
How it works
Buying a first home, renewing your loan or thinking about refinancing? Quebec's rules are set out here in plain language, each figure with its public source, and there is one door: asking a mortgage broker to call you about your file.
The site does not lend money, does not display rates and approves nothing. What it does is take your request and pass it to a mortgage broker, who is the one who can compare lenders and present your file.
Who runs the site is named in the footer. When a broker calls you, you can look their name up in the Autorité des marchés financiers public register before sending anything: it is the habit worth having with anyone who asks you for your numbers.
Agenda · from the first call to the notary
Your situation
A broker looks at your income, your status in Canada and your down payment, and tells you plainly what is possible today and what to prepare.
Documents and pre-approval
With your documents, the broker obtains a pre-approval that sets your budget and holds a rate for a limited period.
Comparing lenders
A broker presents your file to several lenders and compares rates, conditions and penalties, not only the interest.
Approval and notary
Once the offer to purchase is accepted, final approval is handled and the signing takes place before a notary.
